Burton Bradstock Parish Council Meeting            -           Wednesday 1st October 2003

Why not come along to your monthly Parish Council meeting?

We now have the full compliment of 9 Parish Councillors.  It is always nice for us to see a few democrats at our meetings.  You, the parishioners, elected us, so do please attend a meeting to listen to what we do and feel free to air your views in the 'democratic half hour'.  Meetings are generally held on the 1st Wednesday of the month (next is November 12th to avoid fireworks night!) At this meeting we will have guest speakers from Dorset Community Housing to discuss affordable housing proposals for our area. You are always welcome.

Planning

1/W/2003/1804  13 Beach Road - install solar water heating collectors to roof

1/W/2003/1848  11 Hive Close - demolish existing conservatory & erect extension

1/W/2003/????  Bridesmead, Shipton Lane - Erect balcony on west elevation

1/W/2003/1466  Shadrach Stores - change of shop to dwelling (WITHDRAWN)

1/W/2003/????  Shadrach House - Remove swimming pool & make external alterations

1/W/2003/0286  Bridport Golf Club - Erect 4 dwellings. (Amended)

This is a new application for the site of the old clubhouse, which has recently been demolished.  A recent application for 5 dwellings on this site was refused and currently at the appeal stage under section 78.  From the plans it was hard to see the impact of the building, but it was felt that this is over development of the site which contained the clubhouse and pro shop.  The Parish Council will put our views forward to the planning committee.
