Aged 10-15 years old.

Bride Valley Scouts meet every Wednesday at Bride Valley Scout Headquarters. We have a two hour period, from seven until nine every Wednesday evening.
As we are situated in a small area we only have two pratrols,
During the summer we are able to camp in the picturesque Dorset countryside, while the light is good we are able to do exciting projects. last term we managed to build and launch five model rockets, using motors from the local model centre. We have constructed our own 'river riding' raft, built a mud oven and cooked a meal, and have had tournaments in cricket, football and Sumo.
During the winter when the light is bad can have 'wide games' which involve hunting round the village for clues an alike. if the weather is bad we often stay in the hut, cook, play games, eat what we've cooked and create things to entertain ourselves this often includes making catapults or using a pole, candle ten metres of rope and a bag of flour.
We have many things planned for the future, but at the moment we can only plan a short way into the future as the lease on the hut runs out in a couple of years.
The leaders have been trained and have certification of this. Graeme, our leader works in a local joinery and always has a selection large of construction/carpentry tools in his van some of which he shows us how to use.
